Volunteer Positions

From package pick-up to aid station support, and everything in between, we’ve got a spot for you! Sign up today and our Volunteer Coordinator Extraordinaire, Lori, will be in touch!

This position requires some flagging experience as there is an incredible amount of responsibility here. It’s the pre-race flaggers that ensure that you stay on course and make the right turns when you should.

Pre-sweepers run all or some of the course just prior to the start to ensure that all the flagging is in place and there are no new obstructions on the trail such as downed trees or washouts.

This is oh-so-important for us as parking can be tight at some venues. We will train you, equip you, and you will be qualified to work on BC Ferries afterwards (jokes!).

Help with registration and bib pick up before the race. If you love a fast paced environment, we want you!

We like to have marshals at key junctions on course. Some help directing runners at the start with road crossings.

Aid station volunteers help racers get in and out of the aid station with all the help and support needed to get to the next station. These people keep the pop and water flowing, are helping fill water bottles and tell the runners how great they look even if they’re well into the walk of death. You need to have a really upbeat and positive disposition to rock out in one of our aid stations.

We station one First Aid position at each aid station and they also may be asked to head out on course if runners report any injuries. Please let us know if you have a first aid qualification.

We love feeding people, but we need lots of help. This could be cooking the grub to helping cut up veggies and fruit to serving hungry participants.

Sweepers run all or some of the race course at the back of the race and collect course marking flags and signs. They ensure that no one has stopped on course for some reason as well as enforcing the mandatory cut-offs. For Finlayson Arm and Kusam Klimb – be prepared for a long day on the trails. You’ll need to be self sufficient with necessary gear. Experience is necessary!

We often need tons of additional help setting up the start/finish as well as with timing, swag booth, food central and many more super important jobs.
